For all of Life, it is a powerful and blessed time of transformation. Both individually and collectively, we are continuing our purification. Each trial, each success, is steadily shifting us more fully into our Light Beings. I wanted to share briefly some tools that may support you, as they have me, in this profound metamorphosis.

Our progression towards the Light is about a deeper level of experienced union between the Divine and the physical. It is about “Heaven upon Earth.” The “Tree Of Life,” as it is honored in diverse spiritual ideologies, is a symbol of Divine creation. It is a profound vehicle for the greater understanding of Self, Life and Divinity. We are the “Tree.” It’s Truth is alive within us and within all of Creation.

As we learn the art of merging more deeply the spiritual with the physical, we must increase our understanding of, and heighten our sensitivity to, the bounty and support of our Earthly Mother. The Essenes taught that the Earth nourishes us not only with what she produces to feed, clothe and shelter us, but with a constant flow of loving energy from her own heart. They teach that our feet are like mobile roots in our “body-tree,” receiving the energy of the Earth. They emphasize our learning to identify with even the smallest grain of sand in order to develop our compassion, as well as our receptivity to, the Earthly Mother’s Love. Following are the tools I mentioned:

  1. Lie face down with your arms outstretched on the ground and welcome in the Love. This will work outside or inside, on a blanket or not. Inside
do it on the floor closest to the Earth. (The Essenes would kiss the Earth 7 times as part of their religious practices.) Then turn onto your back with your arms outstretched. This practice helps to cleanse, fortify and realign.Stay that way as long as you want.
  2. As you walk upon the Earth, whether it is inside or out, on pavement or dirt, with shoes or without, direct your attention to your feet and welcome in the energy or Love. Notice if you can feel it, how it feels, how it strengthens or comforts you and if your sensitivity increases with practice.
  3. Embrace your favorite tree and welcome its strength and wisdom.
  4. Seek the beauty and Divinity present in your daily experiences
Wishing you great blessings on your progression towards the Light!

Some twenty of us began this month PAINTNG into the HEART of BEING as a means to realize and embody the Qabalistic teachings offered in the monthly talks on the first Tuesday of the month by Susan Heinz. In our first weekly painting session at Studio Anavami, we explored the experience of the Cosmic Tree of Life as Axis Mundi. We related it to the macrocosm and microcosm of our being through the body. A large variety of images emerged depicting the diversity of our individual experience and also emphasizing how we offer each other a piece of the whole. We will continue to paint into this image as we relate to this archetypal structure in our personal and collective journey of the Qabalistic Tree throughout the year.

In the second week we began our experience of the sphere, or sephira, at the top of the Tree of Life, Keter, to understand how creation began and simultaneously who we are. Stepping into the timeless, spaceless stillness of Before-Being, before the Beginning, together we experienced the emergence of Keter, “the crown of creation”, calling forth the powers of imagination. Keter began as a point out of the darkness, moving into a beam of light. So began the primal will of the Divine to experience itself through all creation.

Einstein claimed, that his imaginative ride on a light beam through the Universe began his true exploration of light that was to last his entire life. We also begin our adventure by stretching our imaginal abilities to invite in the new cosmological paradigm, “We are a center of creative expression, rooted in Being, through which the universe expresses itself”. Our images like those of the Tree informed each other’s experience as we began our three week cycle of painting into Keter.
