JOURNEY into the HEART of PRESENCE

An artistic exploration into the archetypes of the Tarot with process painting, theater, mixed media masks, and visualization. Beginning in January, 2009 Susan Heinz and Majio will offer an extensive study of the Major Arcana of the Tarot, the pathways on the of the Tree of Life.

This course has been created to fully experience the different levels of consciousness for a powerful and transformative experience of who we are.

Susan Heinz, astrologer and teacher, combining Qabalah and Tarot and Majio, mixed media artist, facilitator of dream work and creative process, collaborate to offer an on going course in the practice of returning to the Heart of Presence. This is done by coming to understand deeply who we are, along with the steps in the journey of creating our lives, and awakening to our potential.

On the first Tuesday evening of each month, Susan and Majio will illuminate the different archetypes, setting the stage for the weekly painting sessions. These Transformational Painting circles meet once a week, on Wednesday evening, Thursday or Friday morning (you sign up for the time that works for you). No painting experience is required for it is a practice of complete trust in a larger unfoldment process moving through us, as we sense and listen to inner direction.

What’s Your Fairytale

During the summer break for PAINTING into the HEART of BEING, we are tracking our nighttime and awake dreams in preparation for YESOD Sepherah in August. Some painters will continue the process in Hawaii at weddings, reunions, and retreats. Others are making our way to the Southwest, preparing for the workshop in Abiquiu on how PLACE stimulates the imaging of who we are by writing the Fairytale of our life.

If what John O’Donohue says is true that “one of our greatest works is imagining who we are” then we need to become fully aware of what we have already created in order to move to conscious creating. The fairytale format is a good foil for getting in touch, either by design or default with the lives that we have created.

A place with powerful and dramatic nature is an especially good place to explore personal mythology. From my experience, New Mexico always urges me deeper into relationship with my soul. The stark inhospitable beauty of nature in the Abiquiu area is like stepping into a folk legend that encourages subtle archetypes arrive emboldened. I am including the pre-workshop exercise in this Light Link Newsletter to encourage you to stalk your own story in order to integrate it, as well as to prime the pump of imagination for what you want to create.

Writing your life, history and even future, as a fairytale is an immediate way to get down to the bones of your values, decisions and transitions. It is a tool to become more aware of who you are in relation to the larger story. Feel assured that no one else will see it and therefore you have complete license to ham it up, dramatize you desires, losses and dreams.

What protagonist can you readily identify with? Think about your favorite movies, books, people in the news, history who capture your interest? Start anywhere and you will know what rings true and you won’t be able to stop writing once you get going. If you find yourself preoccupied or obsessed with something in your immediate life situation write it into the story. Similar to process painting the more playful and absorbed you are the more you can harvest authentic images of the psyche.

• What are your central stories? Is there a theme of creation/loss or destruction, heroes journey, transformation?
• What are the stories from your past that you often repeat? In your story, identify the blocks, the antagonist, sources of disruption, distraction, confusion or trouble. What or who aids you in your story or detours you?

Write quickly without editing dramatizing major events with magical elements:

• What in your life is under a spell, imprisoned, lifeless or incredibly lucky, powerful or guided?
• How does your kinship or lack of kinship with the divine show up?
• What fairytale characters are in your life now: ogres, trolls, witches, giants, goblins, magicians, talking animals, objects with special importance?

Make it far-fetched with enchantments, transfiguration. You can barrow from any source.
Don’t be concerned by what it means just write a fanciful story that somehow reflects the truth of the situation on an emotional level.

Work on it a little each day or in one sitting. When you are finished, play with it as if it were a dream. Look at it as the story that you for some reason needed to create. Are there parts that no longer work. How would you like to re-imagine your tale now that you know it was created by you.

Angels And Our Hearts

“The Angels are stewards of the Heavenly Realms. They are part of the Divine Presence that orchestrates, protects and supports our well being. They are also messengers, interfacing with Divinity on our behalves, and serving us at all times in support of our highest good. . . .

The Angels are always with us, especially those assigned to support us. However, we can increase Their abilities to serve, heal and empower us through our own intentions. To understand this better, we can use the analogy of supporting a friend in need. We may know exactly what they need to feel better, but unless they are open to our sharing that with them, we cannot help them. This is true of our relationships with the Angels, and all Divine Beings. When we open our hearts to receive their love, abundance, wisdom, healing, etc., then they can give us the gifts they have for us with greater ease. . . .

The Divine Presence is all about Heart!! The Angelic Realms, especially, are the guardians and teachers of the Heart of Man. Through Their own healing abilities, Their gentle prodding, and Their unfailing modeling of the great arts of tenderness, humility, compassion and unconditional love, the Angels gently, yet steadily, nudge us into deeper and more true levels of Heart. A strong, refined and loving heart is the key to our personal fulfillment and joy. The Angels know this and help us to keep moving forward in our growth, still respecting our personal needs and pace. The more open we are in our hearts, the more fully supported spiritually we will be, as there are fewer blocks to the flow of Divine Love offered us.

. . . The Angels are within us and around us, cradling us, supporting us, and standing by our sides - always. Love has no limits, no restraints. The Angels are Masters in facilitating the Powers of Love.

We can strengthen our Hearts by working more actively with the Angelic and Divine Realms, through communication. I find it best to begin my prayer requests with properly and lovingly addressing them; i.e., saying, “Blessed and Beloved Angels” . . . This is a way of expressing my deep love and respect for Them, and it also conveys my willingness to receive their guidance or blessings. It opens my heart in readiness. . . .”

May we all open to the radiance of the Angels within and around us, and allow Them to teach us the revelatory, multi-layered Truths of our Hearts.
