PAINTING through TRADITIONAL ARCHTYPES as
CREATIVE DISCIPLINE & INSPIRATION for AUTHENTIC POWER with Majio.

This is an on-going Transformational Painting Circle format on Wednesday Evenings 6-9 or Friday mornings 10-1, but people are welcome to join at any point. The Heart of the process is to spend non-doing time to create experience that develops the muscles of being. For a society so focused on doing and producing things, you will find how you will welcome a practice of play, experimentation, reflection and experiencing mind/body unity that creates and integrates energy in a way which heightens our capacity to be present.

The books that have informed and guided the journey for the last few months have been Michael Brown’s Alchemy of the Heart, Gary Zukav and Linda Fransis’ Heart of the Soul, Jett Psaris and Marlena Lyons’ Undefended Love and for many of the meditations Rinaja Soleil’s Disappearing into Everywhere.

PAINTING into ARCHTYPES for TRANSFORATION

is a practice not in the sense of repeating a skill over and over until it is mastered, but as a spiritual exercise that develops alignment to principles of innate wholeness. We use the format of painting to experience the development of muscles which support being aware of beingness in the presence. In PAINTING into ARCHTYPES, we use fundamental energy constellation that are present in our lives. Here is the schedule for the next few months: $225 on a monthly basis and $200 a month for a four month commitment.

PAINTING into ARCHTYPES for TRANSFORATION: Thursday evenings 6-9 or Friday mornings 10-1. Proposed schedule through spring see website.

January: THE HERMIT, Archetype of the wise elder who has sought within and how carries the light to light the way for others. Hermit brings together the Major Arcana energies before him/her with integrated realizations.

February: THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE, Self Responsible in co-create of Reality

We view our personal world in a larger context in order to make meaningful connections between our life and universal patterns.

JUST PAINTING is a practice in painting from the heart that takes no training or skills in painting. By being present and authentic over the month your painting develops to give you information about your immediate process in life. It is similar to nighttime dreaming in that insights and information appear as guidance you evoke. As in nighttime dreams the often cloaked symbols and metaphors become more conscious in your personal mythology. This activity develops vocabulary, ease and confidence with your creativity that extends into all other avenues of you life. Ira Progoff describes process as:

The principle of continuity in the universe…serving primarily a unifying function. It helps us see the relatedness and the ongoing connection between phenomena that look dissimilar when they are viewed externally.

SPECIAL OFFER: JUST PAINTING on Thursday mornings 10-1. Introductory First month Two Participants the for price of one: $225, which includes all materials and digital photos. SPECIAL OFFER AVAILABLE for the month of FEBRUARY only.

Attention and Intention

dei_1.jpgConsciousness orchestrates its activity in response to both attention and intention. … you could say that attention activates the energy field, and intention activates the information field, which causes transformation.

~ Deepak Chopra

Our disappointments of the past, as well as our desires for the future are especially amplified at this time of year. It is as if the natural cycle of the seasons together with cultural tradition, conspire to view the dreams of our life at this pause in the calendar through the lenses of what we want and what we don’t have. This time of the year brings attention to the unseen realms through collective myths, both religious and secular as an opportunity to balance the powerful symbolism of renewed light with the required deaths. There is an invitation to take stock of our relationships personal and collective.

Deepak Chopra claims that physical reality would not exist were it not for intent, as everything is connected to everything else and the physical world that we can sense is based in the invisible dimensions. This is the essential piece to understand if we are to act on the presupposition that we create our reality. We have created the ‘holidays’ that we witness and, to varying degrees, experience around us, as participants in our collective reality. This time of year is an opening like no other to take responsibility for what we have created and to be clear in how we continue creating.

The elements of awareness in how we manifest attention requires muscle tone of intention and vision beyond what is now visible. We have all been sensitized to the concept of synchronicity in the last few years, realizing that much of what we consider coincidence in our lives is, in actuality, guidance and support from an intelligence not defined by mental faculties or functions. There are many names for that force such as universal mind, spirit and even soul is being used more and more.

Chopra uses nonlocal as a way of disarming potentially charged concepts. He states in The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire:

Intent activates nonlocal synchronized correlations in the brain. An intention can be fulfilled synchronistically only if it serves the needs of both the local and the nonlocal “I.’ The nonlocal intention is always evolutionary and therefore moving in the direction of harmonious interactions that serve the larger good.

Operating outside the boundaries of normal space and time, nonlocal mind is the great organizing and unifying force in the universe, infinite in scope and duration. By its nature, nonlocal mind connects all things because it is all things. It requires no attention, no energy, no approval, it is whole unto itself, and therefore attracts love and acceptance. It is imminently creative, the source from which all creation flows. It allows us to imagine beyond the boundaries of what local mind sees as “possible,” to think “outside the box,” and to believe in miracles.

The local mind is personal and individual to each of us. It holds our ego, the self-defined “I” that wanders through the world a slave to our conditioned habits. By its very nature, the local mind separates us from the rest of creation. It puts up thick, artificial boundaries that many of us feel compelled to defend, even when this means cutting our selves off from the deeper meanings and joyous connections that come from feeling part of the universal. Local mind is plodding, exhausting, and rational, with no sense of whimsy or creativity. It requires constant attention and approval, and is therefore prone to fear, disappointment and pain.

ursimag.JPGCarolyn Myss, as well as Joseph Campbell, encouraged us all to learn to speak the language of metaphor. Your personal mythology can be a tool for deep reflection as it is a tool for the meaning making process in creating your relationship with the nonlocal mind. Fear comes from protection of the ego, which interferes with the power of your intent. Relationship with the nonlocal calls forth compassion and love

The veils are thin to the unseen realms at the portal of the ‘holy days’ even as a powerful collective force conspires to keep us in a trance. I encourage you to apply attention to your intention during the holidays.
